Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use SchemaLens in CI/CD for free?

Yes. The Free plan works with all CI/CD integrations — GitHub Action, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, and Bitbucket Pipelines. You get visual diffs and basic breaking change alerts on every pull request. Upgrade to Pro for migration generation, export formats, and advanced risk scoring inside your pipeline.

Is my data safe?

Yes. The core diff engine runs entirely in your browser or CI runner. We built a custom SQL parser in vanilla JavaScript and never upload your schemas to any server. If you close the tab, your data is gone.

What SQL dialects do you support?

PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite, SQL Server, and Oracle. All dialects are available on every plan, including Free.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Pro and Team plans are billed monthly or annually. Cancel anytime from your Gumroad account. Annual plans are refunded pro-rata within 14 days.

What is the Lifetime plan?

Lifetime Pro is a one-time payment of $39. You get all Pro features forever — unlimited tables, migration generation, exports, and every future Pro update. No recurring bills. Best for developers who hate subscriptions.

Do you offer refunds?

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If SchemaLens doesn't save you time, email us and we'll refund you — no questions asked.

What can I do on the Free plan?

The Free plan lets you diff up to 15 tables at a time, view visual diffs, and use all 5 SQL dialects. It also works with our free GitHub Action and CI/CD integrations. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited tables, migration generation, exports (Markdown, PDF, SQL, JSON), shareable links, and advanced breaking change detection.

Can I try Pro before buying?

Yes. In the app, click "Try Pro Free — 24 Hours" when you hit the 15-table limit. No email, no credit card, no signup required. You'll get full migration generation, exports, and share links for 24 hours.

Can I use this at work?

Absolutely. Many Pro users are engineering leads who use SchemaLens for code review, staging-to-production checks, and CI/CD pipeline gating. The Team plan adds shared workspaces, diff comments, and admin controls for organizations.
